On April 18, an interregional theoretical and practical conference on the topic “Traditional spiritual Islamic values as a factor in ensuring inter-ethnic harmony, justice and development. Problems, tasks and prospects” was held.

During the conference, participants discussed topical issues of ensuring social sustainability and positive development of modern society, among others, the following topics:

· Using the potential of the spiritual values of Islam as a factor in ensuring harmony and equitable development in the context of the interaction of different cultures and multi-faith in Central Eurasia;

On April 19, Sergey Zhvachkin, the Governor of the Tomsk region, held a work meeting with mufti Albir Krganov, The Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Sergei Zhvachkin discussed with mufti Albir Krganov the first results of the interregional theoretical and practical conference "Traditional spiritual Islamic values as a factor in ensuring inter-ethnic harmony, justice and development", which ends today in Tomsk and in which Albir Krganov is actively participating. The governor and the mufti focused on the theme of interfaith relations.

A two-day international scientific conference "The religious situation in the North-West: Religion in the Post-secular World" was held in St. Petersburg. Leading theologians, religious scholars, philosophers and religious figures from Russia, Serbia, Finland, Poland and Armenia gathered at the same venue.

“The conference is a value in terms of interfaith dialogue and the fullness of the scientific picture. “This reflects the opinion of sociologists, theologians, philosophers and there is an opportunity to hear the position of those who hold those or other religious beliefs” – said Vladimir Ivanov, the head of the department for relations with religious associations of the St. Petersburg government.

Upon completion of the interregional conference with international participation in Tomsk, at the invitation of mufti Farit-Hazrat Mingaleev, the Head of Centralized Religious Organization of Muslims “Baikal muftiat”, the delegation of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia headed by mufti Albir-khazrat Krganov delegation arrived in Irkutsk to attend the Interregional Conference “The spiritual heritage of Islam as a factor in strengthening peace and the development of interfaith relations.”

In Volgograd Oblast the scientific-practical ethnoconfessional conference on the topic: “Our homeland is Russia, our city is Volzhsky! We are the one” was held. The co-organizer of the conference was regional organizations and the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia.

A delegation of SAMR took part in the work of the conference. The delegation consisted from Qadi, the deputy mufti of Moscow Ilnur-hazrat Gainutdinov, Imam-Mukhtasib of the Moscow Oblast Daud-hazrat Mukhutdinov, the deputy Chairman of the Mukhtasibat Assembly of the Moscow Oblast Muhammad Gitinov, as well as the head of the Ethnonational Problems Agency, professor Alexander Kobrinsky.

Ministry of foreign affairs of Russia will distribute the final document and resolution of the International conference “Ways to achieve inter-religious peace: the role of theologians, diplomats and public figures” during the current 73th session of the UN General Assembly 

In addition, both documents will be distributed by Russian diplomats in the UN Human Rights Council, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. Mufti, the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia Albir hazrat Krganov was informed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov of the relevant decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.Lavrov. According to experts of international affairs, the Conference successfully solved the tasks set by the co-organizers and became a prominent stage in the ongoing activities in Russia to promote dialogue in the interests of harmonizing interfaith relations, ensuring freedom of religion and countering terrorism and extremism.

Let me announce a minute of silence in mourning of our innocently killed fellow believers, as well as people of other religions innocently killed in different parts of the world.

I hope that our forum, which has brought together representatives of world religions from 39 foreign countries and various regions of Russia at this round table, will express its negative attitude to terrorism and to attempts to use religion to justify murder and violence, and will unite the world community and all people of good faith in the fight against terrorism.

Moscow. 28 Nov. INTERFAX-the Mayor's office of the capital will allocate a site for the construction of a mosque in the "new Moscow" Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, said its Chairman, mufti of Moscow Albir Krganov.

In addition, as the newspaper "Izvestia" writes on Wednesday, the sites for the construction of religious buildings will receive the Russian Orthodox Church, the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia and the Buddhist traditional Sangha of Russia. In total, it is planned to allocate a little more than five hectares.

International cooperation in sharing experience of interfaith and interethnic mediation, cross-media dialogue between Russia and Indonesia brings its results - the format of Russian-Indonesian projects and cooperation is expanding. Another step in this direction was the round table "Creating a strong state and civil society on the way to achieving interfaith harmony" in the second Indonesian-Russian interfaith and cross-media dialogue held in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation on September 14.

At the heart of the international discussion were topics of tolerance, religious harmony, countering extremism, the principles of soft power in the context of the fight against terrorism, radicalism, and the role of the media in combating destructive information outflows, false news in the realities of modern open society and the era of social media and globalization.
