KOVROV: The grand opening of the first mosque in the Vladimir region took place. As the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Albir- khazrat Krganov, noted, the opening of the mosque was a long-awaited historical event in the life of Muslims in the Vladimir region.

Today, the official opening of the International Moscow Urban Forum. Moscow offers modern solutions and projects for comfortable living of citizens. Moscow has changed noticeably in recent years. The Forum is visited by famous world experts and guests from the Arab world. The forum’s information stands present the future interfaith cultural and educational center in New Moscow with a modern recreational zone. As conceived by the architects, it will become not only a symbolic inter-religious center demonstrating the dialogue of religions and the historical friendship of nations established in Russia, but also a social, educational project accessible to all Muscovites. According to the general assessment of experts, it will become an actual landmark of the capital. The forum guests were interested in this project as a territory of intercultural dialogue, which is very much in demand in this period of the development of the world. Russia in this vein is an example for a lot of countries. And may Allah help in the implementation of such an important decision, which will remain for centuries a good example of the coexistence of different cultures and traditions.

The meeting took place between the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Mufti of Moscow Albir Khazrat Krganov and the State Secretary - deputy director of the National guard of the Russian Federation Sergei Zakharkin. During the meeting the parties noted the importance of strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation.

Sergey Zakharkin expressed interest in contributing the UN in studying the current situation of the ethno-confessional situation in the regions of the Russian Federation with a compact settlement of Muslims. Working together will contribute to protection and security of country’s population from external negative impacts.

On April 18, an interregional theoretical and practical conference on the topic “Traditional spiritual Islamic values as a factor in ensuring inter-ethnic harmony, justice and development. Problems, tasks and prospects” was held.

During the conference, participants discussed topical issues of ensuring social sustainability and positive development of modern society, among others, the following topics:

· Using the potential of the spiritual values of Islam as a factor in ensuring harmony and equitable development in the context of the interaction of different cultures and multi-faith in Central Eurasia;

On April 19, Sergey Zhvachkin, the Governor of the Tomsk region, held a work meeting with mufti Albir Krganov, The Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Sergei Zhvachkin discussed with mufti Albir Krganov the first results of the interregional theoretical and practical conference "Traditional spiritual Islamic values as a factor in ensuring inter-ethnic harmony, justice and development", which ends today in Tomsk and in which Albir Krganov is actively participating. The governor and the mufti focused on the theme of interfaith relations.

A two-day international scientific conference "The religious situation in the North-West: Religion in the Post-secular World" was held in St. Petersburg. Leading theologians, religious scholars, philosophers and religious figures from Russia, Serbia, Finland, Poland and Armenia gathered at the same venue.

“The conference is a value in terms of interfaith dialogue and the fullness of the scientific picture. “This reflects the opinion of sociologists, theologians, philosophers and there is an opportunity to hear the position of those who hold those or other religious beliefs” – said Vladimir Ivanov, the head of the department for relations with religious associations of the St. Petersburg government.

Upon completion of the interregional conference with international participation in Tomsk, at the invitation of mufti Farit-Hazrat Mingaleev, the Head of Centralized Religious Organization of Muslims “Baikal muftiat”, the delegation of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia headed by mufti Albir-khazrat Krganov delegation arrived in Irkutsk to attend the Interregional Conference “The spiritual heritage of Islam as a factor in strengthening peace and the development of interfaith relations.”

In Volgograd Oblast the scientific-practical ethnoconfessional conference on the topic: “Our homeland is Russia, our city is Volzhsky! We are the one” was held. The co-organizer of the conference was regional organizations and the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia.

A delegation of SAMR took part in the work of the conference. The delegation consisted from Qadi, the deputy mufti of Moscow Ilnur-hazrat Gainutdinov, Imam-Mukhtasib of the Moscow Oblast Daud-hazrat Mukhutdinov, the deputy Chairman of the Mukhtasibat Assembly of the Moscow Oblast Muhammad Gitinov, as well as the head of the Ethnonational Problems Agency, professor Alexander Kobrinsky.
