With deep sorrow and sadness we have received the news about the death of our dear brother, the former Mufti of Kazakhstan, Sheikh Absattar Haji Derbisali, as a result of a serious illness.
Absattar Haji was a true patriot of Kazakhstan, a wise and sympathetic Muslim who and lived a long dignified life and left a great scientific and cultural heritage that will forever be preserved in the memory of future generations.
During his tenures as Grand Mufti of Kazakhstan and Head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Absattar Haji managed to achieve significant results in promoting true Islamic values and strengthening interfaith and intercultural dialogue, as well as preventing the spread of extremist ideas in Kazakhstan and the entire Central Asian region.
In this regard, we send our sincere condolences and sympathy to the relatives and friends of Absattar Haji and all the Muslims of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
