During the blessed days of the month of Ramadan, iftars are traditionally held at the residence of the Moscow Muftiate, bringing together believers for communal breaking of the fast and Tarawih prayers. Yesterday, the honorary guest was Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin. Together with Mufti Albir hazrat Krganov, he took part in the evening prayer and addressed the believers with a profound sermon, in which he reminded them of the spiritual power of the month of Ramadan, the need to purify the heart, and to discipline one’s nafs.
As the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari)
The congregants gratefully received the guidance of the esteemed guest. For many believers, the joint prayer of the Mufti of Moscow and the Mufti of Tatarstan during the days of Ramadan became a symbol of spiritual unity and a reminder of the importance of following the true path.
