"The introduction of an ID-card and the ability to use Personal Account on web-portal "GOSUSLUGI", a mobile application, will greatly simplify the life of migrants. This will eliminate illegal registration procedures for foreign citizens and corruption schemes" - said Albir khazrat Krganov on meeting in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the mufti told to RIA News about the creation of a federal center for legal protection and cultural adaptation for migrants. A hotline is also open for them (8-800-550-32-03). The project is being implemented in 18 regions of Russia. It also became known that on November 25, a federal Internet portal for migrants of all confessions and nationalities rosmigrant.ru, which is available in Russian, Tajik, Uzbek and Kyrgyz languages, will be launched.
As the mufti said, the main issues with which they apply to this center are legalization in Russia, delayed wages, deportation, obtaining a temporary residence permit and citizenship.
In addition, migrants do not know their rights in labor legislation, and even if their contract with the employer is formalized, they are not familiar with "the algorithm of actions in case of non-payment of the due wages." Mufti noted that non-payment issues are usually resolved out of court, since "employers do not want to pay heavy fines and willingly agree to pay the migrant's labor before the trial."
The Muslim community is trying to help illegal migrants to "understand Russian legislation, legalize and live according to conscience and law." To do this, the SAMR cooperates with non-profit organizations, embassies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which also supported the project, "and other departments in order to quickly respond to incidents in the regions and help people." He also stressed that such work will contribute to the prevention of extremism and criminal phenomena, strengthening interethnic and interreligious relations and cultural adaptation.
